Iris Transitional Living operates a residential recovery home structured to provide a safe environment where a sober and healthy life can be created.
The organization is committed to providing an environment that is conducive to helping individuals achieve and maintain long term sobriety. We understand that the sobriety journey is different for everyone, and while our program is structured, it can adapt in ways that give each individual the optimum chance for success.
We’re located in North Atlanta, and our facility is for men. We provide the counseling and programming needed to create the proper structure, and we provide other activities outside our facility that help residents transition back into regular daily lives—safely and effectively.
With over 10 years of experience in the residential recovery field, Ira serves as the CFO of Iris Transitional Living. He has completed Certified Addiction Counselor Training Modules and is a Certified counselor in-training (CCIT). Recognizing a critical need for safe housing for men, Ira founded Iris Recovery, a place where individuals can find support and a path to recovery.
Deeply immersed in the 12-step program, Ira has built his life around principles of respect for others and unwavering integrity. He is passionate about speaking openly about his recovery, often sharing his belief that “as long as the light of recovery shines, no one needs to suffer in the dark.”
Ira is a strong advocate for holistic wellness, embracing the philosophy that “there are no throwaway people,” a powerful quote from Ma Jaya. He truly believes in the inherent value of every individual and is dedicated to extending a helping hand to those in need, fostering a community where everyone can thrive.
Joshua Jarvis is CEO and Co-Founder of IRIS Transitional Living Corp and Edge Treatment. Edge Treatment is based in Roswell, and IRIS Recovery is in North Atlanta.
IRIS works, through a community geared towards support and providing sober living housing, to help addicts transition from their last use into regular/sober society.
Joshua, who’s in long-term recovery, knows a thing or two about finding his way back from the Edge, and how challenging that can be. After a long journey back from the Edge and refocusing his life, he attended business school at Penn State University, and is currently completing the Certification in Addiction Counseling along with becoming an advanced counselor in Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
David has worked with Iris Transitional Living for the last four years, overseeing many day-to-day activities. He has over 10 years of personal recovery.
A career goal for David was to work in the recovery field. “I have been through a lot of life experience and thought I could use what I have been through to help others in their journeys. I really like helping people and I came in when the company was pretty much just starting out,” he said.
“It is really all about the clients that come through the program. Seeing these guys come in broken and desperate and then watching the lights come on as they do the work is something special.”
